Information you give us

  • Consultation requests: your name, country, WhatsApp number, study stage, intended major, and any notes you add.
  • Contact form messages: your name, email address, subject, and message.
  • Account details if you register on the skills platform: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), name, and optional profile details such as a headline, bio, photo, and LinkedIn or portfolio links.
  • Activity on the skills platform: exam answers and results, challenge submissions, votes, points, levels, and badges.

Information collected automatically

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference.

If analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example page views and clicks on the consultation form or WhatsApp button. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data under Google's privacy terms.

How we use your information

  • To respond to consultation requests and contact messages, including by WhatsApp or email.
  • To provide and secure your account, grade exams, and run challenges and leaderboards.
  • To improve the website and our services.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Public profiles

Your Skill Passport and talent-directory listing are private by default. They become visible to visitors and search engines only if you turn on the public profile option in your profile settings, and you can turn it off at any time. Leaderboards show your name and points.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting and email delivery; with universities or authorities, with your agreement, when needed to process an application you asked us to handle; or when the law requires it.

Retention

We keep consultation requests and messages for as long as needed to respond and follow up on your case, and account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile from your account, make your profile private, or ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing info@etqanoon.com.
